WOW Rodrica, I just heard this on the radio today! I was driving throught Elizabeth NJ wishing I was somewhere else, and a couple hours later, I was!!!
Anyway I like this version better, on both levels: Musically - The lead guitar rocks big time, and your singing is perfect for the tune.

I have to say at this point guys that B. Mack and the Strat Pack did an awesome job on the music and it was a real pleasure to add the vocals.
I treated it like a live performance - I used a hand-held Shure 58 stage mic and did a one take recording - I wanted to maintain that live feel to the performance, and thoroughly enjoyed doing it.

The vocals are excellent. The Strat Pack guys really take the Jeff Beck factor into consideration (Wonder wrote the tune for Beck, then released it right before him, arrgh -- guess Beck broke a mirror or something?)

I like this version a lot. Taking a risk covering such a classic and well known song. There is enough originality here to make it your own without impinging on Stevie's territory and trademark funky clav and vocals. Nice guitar work. One minor point is that the keyboards/horns sound a little too dry to me, the lead guitar and vocals are quite wet in reverb. Just a minor point and it does not prevent one from tapping their feet and bobbing their head up and down in appreciation of the groove, damned funky !!

I think leedsquietman is trying to sound knowledgeable about the horns. I've played sax live for 40 years & the horns sound just as they should Vibrant and smooth with a funky big sound. I guess leeds spends too much time alone with his computer instead of listening to real music.
As for the track - it's superb. Great musicianship on all levels. Nice and beefy with the guitar. I checked out B. Mack's site and he's a real talented guy. Leeds could learn a lot from him. Vocals are better than Wonder's in my opinion. Cool job guys.

Wow, this sounds like it was a total blast to put together.
The musicianship is outstanding. The guitarist is red hot, and the rhythm section is incredible.
Your vocals just sound absolutely superb.

This kicks all the digital shit into touch, very warm fuzzy and analoguly (or whatever the verb for analogue sounding like is). Sounds slightly over saturated which is brilliant. Great to hear this soulful side of your voice in contrast to the darker stuff, and the great guitar playing seems to be driving you on. Should do this stuff more often.
