Rodrica Rudge is the pseudonym of an elusive semi-professional songwriter who is also an independent musician/vocalist and published poet. As a songwriter and Member of the Guild of International Songwriters, she writes across all genres, often selling specially commissioned work to individuals or companies. Her non-commissioned work has won songwriting competitions. As an independent artist (primarily rock/alternative) the Rodrica Rudge band has received both terrestrial and internet radio airplay, her music appearing in the same show as major recording artists such as George Harrison, Robert Plant, The Beach Boys and Muddy Waters. She writes, performs, arranges/produces and engineers all the songs herself.
She began playing classical piano at the age of 7, taking exams at the Royal College of Music, London. She went on to take cello and guitar lessons, along with voice coaching, then spent many years advertising, promoting and marketing well-known signed artists in her capacity as a director at an advertising agency before concentrating on her own music.
